Class of 2024 Senior Portrait Information.

Deadline for senior photos: Friday, Nov 17, 2023

It’s time to have your senior portrait taken! Here is how to submit them to the Yearbook. 

•  Your Photo can be submitted directly to the Jostens Website with the file name being your Last Name, First Name. 

Or 

• Submit it directly to our editor Maja & the yearbook team by emailing a copy to yearbookblackhills@gmail.com  with the file name being your Last Name, First Name. 

Photo Specifications: (all photos must conform to these specs)

• Digital images are best.

• Digital photos should be submitted via  email in a .tif .png,or .jpg file. CMYK color, 300 dpi minimum (high-resolution photo).Please label  the file with the name of the students, last name, first name.

• Full-color or black and white, glossy or semi-glossy photograph, vertical orientation (approximately 2 ¼” w X 3 ½” h). photos significantly smaller do not resize well digitally – there is only so much digital information the computer can work with, so the end result is a photo which looks fuzzy or pixilated in the yearbook.

• Head size should be 1 ¼” from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head. Top of head should be at least ½” from the top of the photo. This is why some people’s heads look huge compared to others in the yearbook.

• We PREFER Basic frontal or 3/4 view, head and shoulders.

• Digitally manipulated photos, artistic renderings of people, photos of more than one person, or childhood photos will NOT be accepted. (Consider a senior recognition ad for these).

• If you need to submit a hard copy, the photo should have the students name printed clearly on a post it note then placed on the back of the photo. Please do not write directly on the photo as it creates ridges. Please do not submit prints from your home printer. You can drop them off at BHHS office attention Janelle Schlichting, yearbook.

**Student ID photos will replace any missing senior portraits, if you had a school picture taken.Deadline is Friday Nov 17, 2023!
