Meet Our Superintendent

Tumwater School District welcomed Kevin Bogatin as Superintendent on July 1, 2023. Prior to leading Tumwater, he served four years as Superintendent of the North Bend School District in Oregon. Prior to that, he was Assistant Superintendent for 8 years in Corvallis, Oregon. Kevin also served for 10 years as a Principal in Oregon across all levels. Before becoming an administrator, Kevin was an elementary teacher in Oregon and Arizona for five years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa. As a superintendent, Kevin works closely with community colleges and labor unions to build successful career and technical education programs that include apprenticeship programs.

Kevin shares, “I am honored to be selected as the next superintendent of Tumwater! Over the past few months I have spent quite a bit of time in the district and have grown to love the people and community. As the next Tumwater School District superintendent, my number one goal will be exceptional student success, growth and well-being. I look forward to working together for the benefit of all of our students.”
