    Personal Biography I grew up here in Tumwater and am the 5th generation of a Tumwater family! I went to Michael T Simmons Elementary, Tumwater Middle School and Tumwater High School. After getting my AA degree I worked in the retail business until I went back to college to become a teacher. I now live in the house I grew up in on (old) Tumwater hill with my sweet dog Maisie.
     
     
     
    Professional Biography  I received a Master in Teaching degree in Multicultural Education from The Evergreen State College in 2000. Prior to coming to Peter G. I taught at Hood Canal Elementary on the Skokomish Reservation. I was excited to "come home" and join the Tumwater School District family.  I've worked at Peter G Schmidt for 9 amazing years! My first 5 years here I was the Writing Specialist and then I taught 3rd grade for 4 years. I am now very excited to be one of the Title Reading Interventionists. I look forward to an amazing year working with students and families.
