I received my B.A. degree in June, 2000 from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. In June, 2004, I completed my teacher's training at Pacific Lutheran University and received my teaching certificate with endorsements in Elementary Education, Special Education, Visual Arts and English/Language Arts. In December, 2010, I passed a lengthy and rigorous series of assessments to become a National Board Certified Teacher and in 2019, I passed the recertification assessment. In 2016, I earned my Master of Education from Lesley University with a focus on integrated teaching through the arts.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, creating art, traveling, reading, crafting, kayaking, hiking, and listening to all kinds of music.
