“Some people will lie, cheat, steal and back-stab to get ahead... and to think, all they have to do is READ.”
- FortuneScheduleProfessional BiographyI graduated from the University of Washington in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. After coaching football for two season at Tumwater High School, while attending the UW, I realized I enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm of working with kids. I returned to school the following winter, attending Washington State University. I graduated from WSU in the spring of 1994 with an Education Degree in English and History. While I did attend both state universities, I am a Husky, much to my families' chagrin. The next fall I began teaching English at Tumwater high school. In pursuing my best self, I earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from City University in 1996. 1997 brought about another change when I transferred schools and helped open Black Hills High School. I have been a proud member of the Black Hills High School staff since the doors opened in September of 1997.In addition to teaching English, I also coach football at BHHS and in the past I have also coached soccer and wrestling.
