The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an organization of parents, teachers, and administrators created to provide student enrichment, parent and family involvement, family support, and connections to our community. Michael T. Simmons PTO looks forward to partnering with you to support our school and students!
PTO MEETINGS HELD IN THE LIBRARY AT MICHAEL T. SIMMONS (MTS) FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH! 6-7:30PM. IN JANUARY AND MARCH MEETINGS ARE HELD ON THE SECOND THURSDAY OF THESES TWO MONTHS.
Over the years the PTO has raised money to fund special projects for the school such as:
Reader Board on 2nd Avenue
The MTS PTO sponsor many free events for families and the community including:
Fall Harvest Festival
Family Fun Night
Additional sponsorship includes Year Book, 5th Grade Enrichment Activities, Book fairs, and the Alumni Scholarship which is available to graduating students of Tumwater School District.
Each year we have been able to give out a general grant of a $100 to use for classroom expenses. Each specialist (music, integrated arts, library, technology, and PE) has received $1500 to build and maintain their curriculum.
