Student Learning Coordinating Council (SLCC)
In our district, an administrative and certificated representative from each building meets with Student Learning staff on a regular basis. This group, the Student Learning Coordinating Council, plays a vital role in guiding the work of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in each building.
- What do we expect our students to learn?
- How will we know they are learning?
- How will we respond when students don't learn?
- How will we respond if students already know it?
The SLCC also
provides input on how the district uses our weekly Academic
Collaboration Time (ACT) each Friday. This group supports big-picture
planning at the district level and identifies needs for professional
learning. It also makes recommendations regarding instructional
materials.
