Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Carolyn Greer
Hi! I am Mrs. Greer and I teach K-5 General Music at MTS. General Music is taught on a weekly basis to every class. Our curriculum, Game Plan, supports the Washington State Grade Level Expectations for Music (learning standards) which can be found on the OSPI website.
I received my K-8 Elementary Teaching Certificate, Music Minor, K-12 Endorsement in Vocal and Instrumental Music and B.A. in Elementary Education from SMU in Lacey, WA. I have also earned 45 credits toward my Master's in Teaching and Learning at SPU in Seattle, WA. I am an alumni of NNU in Nampa, ID, GHC in Aberdeen, WA, and HHS in Hoquiam, WA.
As an active member of WMEA (Washington Music Educators Association) and NAfME (National Association for Music Educators), I teach a variety of private music lessons. I volunteer at my local church, enjoy married life with my husband of 35 years, and try to keep up with our 3 adult children, 2 grandchildren, and my 92 years young dad.
I am a teacher's kid, a superintendent's grandkid, and I have been a public school teacher for over 15 years. I would love to teach for at least 15 more! It's great to be a life-long learner! Go Wolf Pups!
