Program Description: This program introduces students to the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in the fast-growing, high-paying Cyber Security industry. In this class, students will gain knowledge and experience in computer hardware, networking, IT security, and Linux. We will use these skills to compete in the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot competition and to prepare to sit for CompTIA’s Security+ certifications.
High School Equivalency Credits: Students earn 3.0 credits per year allocated as 1.0 Career Technical Education, 2.0 Elective. See how these credits satisfy graduation requirements in the Program of Study.
College Credits: Credits available through Bates Technical College: up to 25 credits, Clover Park Technical College: up to 23 credits, Pierce College: up to 25 credits, or South Puget Sound Community College: up to 5 credits
Students who successfully complete the program and have earned a grade of B or better, will be eligible to apply.
