One of my high school teachers inspired me to want to become a teacher myself. I always struggled in math and knew I wanted to become a teacher when my Trigonometry teacher made math easy for me to understand! I wanted to help others in the same way he helped me. In 2005, I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. In 2009, I received my Masters degree in Educational Administration from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. I have taught a variety of grade levels in 3 different states (Ohio, Virginia, and Washington). I've taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, Reading Recovery and LAP/Title reading groups. Teaching is definitely my passion!
