I am the Special Education teacher assigned to Secondary Options. I have taught for 15 years in the public schools of Arizona. I went on to serve students with disabilities, their families and schools with The Arizona Department of Education.

Upon moving to Olympia, WA, I chose to return to classroom and have the great fortune of working with the team at Secondary Options High School. I am excited to learn and grow with the staff and students. Throughout my career I have had great admiration and respect for staff who dedicate themselves to designing and facilitating Alternative Learning Environments to meet all student’s needs.  I really value how Secondary Options can reach many students through its special design of location, environment, delivery of educational services, personnel arrangements, and philosophy.

At home I have a husband, two daughters, and two rescue dogs that I cherish.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching PBS mystery programs and exploring the great Pacific Northwest.
