Education/Teaching Background: Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  This marks my 15th year of teaching. In addition to teaching at TMS, I am an assistant football coach and the head boys basketball coach. I graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education.  I also received a Master's in Education from City University of Seattle with an emphasis in Curriculum, Technology, and Instruction. The Tumwater School District adopted Illustrative Math last year, which I had the opportunity to pilot two years ago and teach last year.  The lead writer of the curriculum, Bill McCallum, was also a lead writer of  Common Core Math.  What a great opportunity for our students!  I look forward to working with and getting to know each of the sixth grade families this year.  If you have any questions or concerns during the school year, please feel free to call, e-mail, message me on the Remind app, or stop in.

    Personal Info
I am married and have four wonderful children. My wife, Robyn, is also a teacher.  My daughters, Makenzie(10) and Madeleine (8), both attend Michael T. Simmons. My son, Rocky, turned 3 in April, and my youngest, TJ (Trevor, Jr.) will turn 1 on November 3rd.  I am a huge sports enthusiast, both playing and watching.  I grew up playing football, baseball, basketball, and running track.  I played baseball through college, and as an adult, I continue to play men's fastpitch softball.  In the summer of 2016, I was inducted into the North American Fastpitch Association's Hall of Fame.  I also enjoy coaching my daughters in youth sports (Sandberg Fastpitch).
