I am originally from Nebraska and have been in the Pacific Northwest since 1990.

I have extensive experience working in outdoor adventure instruction, supervision in remote facilities with adjudicated youth, group-home facilitation, and working with students that have difficulties with traditional educational settings.

I earned my Master’s in Teaching from The Evergreen State College and wrote my thesis on adventure-based education.

I have been employed with the Tumwater school district since 1998 and spent 12 years as the head instructor of Secondary Options.
