    Rebecca Halbert

Head Teacher – Options High School located at New Market Skills Center

    Professional Biography:

I believe that every student deserves a chance to be supported and challenged to reach their full potential.  My first "real job" was at a fast food restaurant in Long Beach, California, where a highlight was serving food to the Australian Olympics water polo teams!  While in college, I worked full time as an environmental chemist for labs in Garden Grove and Pasadena, CA.  Some of the fun samples I got to test were cheese powder from the "blue box" Mac'n'cheese and water from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. I have two adult daughters of whom I am immensely proud.  I am honored to serve as head teacher at our school this year.
