Hi! I was born and raised in Aberdeen, WA where I learned to love the temperate rain forests and the ocean beaches.
Wanting to start a career in science I earned my BS of Botany at the University of Washington. After working in a research
lab for a short time, I realized I wanted to bring my passion towards science and life long learing into the elementary
classroom. I quickly earned my MA in Education at Pacific Oaks College and began teaching in Indio, CA,
where I stayed for many years and fell in love with the hot desert too! Missing my family and the PNW, I finally
moved back to Olympia, WA in 2014 where I enjoy kayaking the Sound and backpacking the Olympics. This year,
I look forward to sharing my 18th year of teaching with the amazing students of Michael T. Simmons Elementary!
As always, please feel free to email me with any questions or comments. :)
