This is my sixth year at Michael T. and I'm so excited to teach 4th grade this year.
Before moving to Washington a few years ago, I taught kindergarten in Connecticut. I also have several years of experience as a substitute teacher in all the grades! I earned my teaching degree at Central Connecticut State University, where I majored in English and Geography.
A Little Bit About Me
I love teaching! It has been a passion for me for as long as I can remember! My first-grade teacher (yes, way back when!) was my inspiration to become a lifelong learner and to become a teacher. I am very happily married to Mr. Knight and we have four wonderful children: Makenzie, a 5th grader here at MTS, Madeleine, a 3rd grader, Rocky, and TJ, who was born in the fall of this year.
In my free time, I enjoy running and playing sports. I was fortunate enough to be able to compete at the Division I level in college in track and cross country, and have been athletic ever since my older brother first said he was better than me at something! I am competitive and love to be the best I can be. I also enjoy baking, reading, and being crafty. I am the youngest of my siblings. I have 2 brothers and a twin sister (who isn't afraid to remind me that she's TWO minutes older!) I am so looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you this year!
