Mrs. Stoker & family Hi!  My name is Heather Stoker and I'm in my sieventh year as the Music teacher at T.H.E.  I graduated with a BA in Music & Music Ed from the University of Washington in 2003.  I also played the piccolo in the UW Husky Marching Band (Go Huskies!!).  After graduation, I taught K-5 Music in the Franklin Pierce School District in Tacoma for 10 years.  I'm happy to be working closer to home and am having a great time with the T.H.E. kids in Music!
My main goal for students is to experience music.  We sing, dance, play, drum, create, partner up, do si do, match pitch, harmonize, and get down and boogie.  Music can be fun, serious, challenging, and most of all, exciting!  If I can spread a little bit of passion about music to your students, then I have succeeded.  And if your students perform so amazingly that I get goose bumps (or... CRY!), then THEY have succeeded!
I have two kids of my own that keep me busy! My husband Chad is a computer software contractor, and also plays piano and guitar.  If we're lucky, he'll come rock out at a show with us this year!
