I grew up playing sports and participating in many activities. Most commonly I played basketball and swam competitively. Upon graduating from Canyon Del Oro High School in 2000, I was offered a few scholarships to swim at smaller DII and DIII schools across the country (mostly the midwest). My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer in the summer of 2000, so I decided to stay home and attend the University of Arizona (she is healthy and out of remission now). I graduated in 2005 with a degree in Physiological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. In the summer of 2005, I married my wife and moved to Olympia to work for Young Life. Six years later, I no longer work for Young Life, but have earned my teaching certification and Master's in Education at St. Martin's University. I previously taught Earth Science the last two years at Oakland Bay Junior High in Shelton, Washington. I am thrilled to be brought on as a T-bird, seeing that my wife and I have always desired to live in the same town that we teach in. My most favortist things to do are to run, be outside, listen to all kinds of music and read good stuff! Also, I believe that kittens might be the cutest things ever invented in all existence. There, I said it. Check out the pic below and tell me that you don't agree....you can't.
