Emergency Snow Routes

2025-26 School Year

In the event the Tumwater School District makes the decision to run emergency snow routes, the route information is included below. TSD sends notifications to the news media, staff and families no later than 6 a.m. if schools will be closed, classes are delayed or school bus service is altered due to weather or other conditions. Some last minute changes may be necessary if we are on snow routes depending on weather conditions.
 
For two hour late start - No AM or PM Preschool, No AM NMSC Session, no CHS AM Session, and No Out of District Transportation. Please check for any weather-related alerts on the district website.
 
Snow Routes - Unless otherwise noted, buses run snow routes on regular schedule. If there is a delayed start to school, notifications will indicate the time delay and that buses are on snow routes.
 
During inclement weather, the district will try to keep bus routes as near to normal as possible. Please have your students to the bus stop 10 minutes prior to their regular pick up time. If we are on a two-hour delay, have your students arrive at their pickup spot two hours later than their normal time.
 

If your street is not listed, buses will operate NORMALLY.

BLACK LAKE AREA

  • Route 251 – BHHS & TMS:  No service up Fairview Hill. The bus stops at Kennydell Park, east parking lot (6:53 AM – 7:05 AM).
  • Route 251 - No service up Fairview Hill. The bus stops at Kennydell Park, east parking lot (8:22 AM – 8:37 AM).
  • Route 252 – BHHS & TMS:  No service on Nels Rd SW,  Kinney Rd SW or Evergreen Shores. All stops meet at the Black Lake Grange (6:38 AM – 7:02 AM).
  • Route 252 – BLE:  No service on Delphi Rd SW, Nels Rd SW, Kinney Rd SW or Evergreen Shores.  All stops meet at the Black Lake Grange (8:04 AM – 8:31 AM).
  • Route 253 – BHHS & TMS:  No service on  Alpine Dr SW, Maplewood Ct SW, Foothill Dr SW or Northill Dr SW.  The bus stops at the Black Lake Grange (6011 Black Lake Blvd SW 6:35 AM – 6:57 AM).  No service on Delphi Rd SW between 62nd Ave SW and Alpine Dr SW.  The bus stops at Delphi Road SW & Capital Forest Dr SW (6:59 AM).  No service at Cougar Ridge Estates.  The bus stops at Delphi Road SW & Capital Forest Dr SW (6:59 AM).  No service on Delphi Road north of Camelot Drive.  The bus stops at Camelot Dr SW at Delphi Rd SW (7:00 AM).
  • Route 253 – BLE:  No service on  Alpine Dr SW, Maplewood Ct SW, Foothill Dr SW or Northill Dr SW.  The bus stops at the Black Lake Grange (6011 Black Lake Blvd SW 8:06 AM – 8:30 AM).  No service on Kinney Rd SW.  The bus stops at the Black Lake Grange (6011 Black Lake Blvd SW 8:06 AM – 8:30 AM).
  • Route 254 – BHHS & TMS:  No service on Kinney Rd SW.  The bus stops at the Black Lake Grange (6011 Black Lake Blvd SW 6:43 AM – 6:51 AM).
  • Route 254 - No Snow Route 
  • Route 255 – BHHS & TMS: No service on Waddell Creek Rd, Sherman Valley Rd SW or Noschka Road.  The bus stops at Lake Lucinda Dr SW @ Lake Lucinda Ct SW (6:38 AM – 6:52 AM).  
  • Route 255 – BLE:  No service on Kinney Rd SW.  The bus stops at the Black Lake Grange (6011 Black Lake Blvd SW 8:16 AM – 8:19 AM).  No service at Cougar Ridge Estates. The bus stops at Delphi Rd SW & Capital Forest Dr SW (8:26 AM). No service on Delphi Road north of Camelot Drive.  Stops at Camelot Dr SW at Delphi Rd SW (8:27 AM).

EAST OLYMPIA AREA

  • Route 121 – THS & BMS: No service in Sunwood Lakes, Fox Hill, or Spurgeon Creek Rd SE. The bus will pick up students at the gravel area across from the Chevron on Spurgeon Creek Rd SE and Yelm Hwy SE (6:35 AM – 6:50 AM). No service to Rainier Road or 91st Ave SE. The bus will pick up students at the Flying Carpet MHP on Fir Tree Road SE (7:00 AM).

  • Route 123 – THS & BMS:  No service into Springer Hills. The bus will stop at 93rd Ave SE & Springer Lake Ln SE (6:55 AM).
  • Route 123 – EOE:  No service into Cedar Ridge Estates or Cedar Lake area. Students will get on the bus at the South Union Grange (8:15 AM – 8:21 AM).  No service on TILLEY RD south of 101st Ave SW.  The bus stops at South Union Grange (8:15 AM – 8:21 AM).  No service into Springer Hills.  The bus will stop at 93rd Ave SE & Springer Lake Ln SE (8:25 AM).
  • Route 124 – THS & BMS:  No service down 74th Ave SE (east of Normandy St). Students will be picked up at the intersection of 74th and Normandy St SE (6:49 AM). 
  • Route 124 – EOE:  No Snow Route 
  • Route 125 – THS & BMS:  No service on McCorkle Rd, Myra Ln SE, 105th Ln SE or Wilmer Ln SE. The bus will pick up students at Old Hwy 99 SE & 96th Trail SE (6:48 AM – 6:59 AM).
  • Route 125 – EOE:  No Snow Route 
  • Route 126 – THS & BMS:  No service on Latigo St SE or the section of 93rd Ave SE off Latigo.  The bus stops at 89th Ave SE & Latigo St SE (6:53 AM).  No service to 5841 89th Ave SE, Fir Tree Rd Se & Northland Ln SE or 6733 Fir Tree Rd SE.  The bus will pick up students at Fir Tree Rd SE & 87th Ave SE (6:55 AM).  No service on Trowbridge Rd SE.  The bus will pick up students at Fir Tree Rd SE & 87th Ave SE (6:55 AM).
  • Route 126 – EOE:  No service on Latigo St SE or the section of 93rd Ave SE off Latigo.  The bus stops at 89th Ave SE & Latigo St SE (8:19 AM).  No service on 74TH AVE SE (east of Normandy St SE).  Students will be picked up at the intersection of Normandy St SE & 74th Ave SE (8:34 AM). 
  • Route 127 – THS & BMS:  No service into Cedar Ridge Estates or Cedar Lake Area. The bus will meet students at the South Union Grange (6:42 AM – 6:53 AM).  No service on Tilley Rd south of 101st Ave SW.  The bus stops at South Union Grange (6:42 AM – 6:53 AM).  No service to Eleanor Dr SE, Priscilla Dr SE or Wyatt Ct SE.  The bus will pick up students at Silverspot Dr SE and 89th Ave SE at the little bus shed (7:00 AM).
  • Route 127 – EOE:  No service on McCorkle Rd, Myra Ln SE, 105th Ln SE or Wilmer Ln SE. The bus will pick up students at Old Hwy 99 SE & 96th Trail SE (8:12 AM – 8:27 AM).  No service to Eleanor Dr SE, Priscilla Dr SE or Wyatt Ct SE. The bus will pick up at Silverspot Dr SE and 89th Ave SE at the little bus shed (8:30 AM).

LITTLEROCK AREA

  • Route 101 – No service on Waddell Creek Rd, Sherman Valley Rd SW or Noschka Road. The bus stops at Lake Lucinda Dr SW @ Lake Lucinda Ct SW (6:42 AM – 6:55 AM). No service on Shawn Dr SW. The bust stops at Lake Lucinda Dr SW @ Lake Lucinda Ct SW (6:42 AM – 6:55 AM).  No service on Delphi Rd SW between Waddell Creek Rd SW and Shawn Dr SW. The bus stops at Lake Lucinda Dr SW @ Lake Lucinda Ct SW (6:42 AM – 6:55 AM).
  • Route 131 – THS & BMS:  No service to DREAM ST SW (Field of Dreams), 118TH AVE SW or 118TH LOOP SW. The bus will pick up students at the bottom of the hill at the intersection of Crockett Rd SW and 118th Ave SW (6:38 AM – 6:48 AM). 
  • Route 131 – LRE:  No service on CASE EXT RD SW.  The bus stops at the Scott Lake Store (7:58 AM – 8:00 AM).  No service to DREAM ST SW (Field of Dreams), 118TH AVE SW or 118TH LOOP SW. The bus will pick up students at the bottom of the hill at the intersection of Crockett Rd SW and 118th Ave SW (8:27 AM – 8:38 AM).  No service on LA FRANCE RD SW.  The bus will pick up students at Littlerock Elementary in the bus load zone (8:46 AM – 8:50 AM).  Route 133 will pick up stops on 123rd AVE SW at 8:28 AM.
  • Route 132 – THS & BMS:  No service on CHAMPION HILL.  The bus will pick up students at Champion Dr SW & Link Ct SW (6:46 AM – 6:53 AM).   No service on 113TH AVE SW between TILLEY RD & CASE RD.  The bus stops at Scott Creek Dr SW & 114th Ave SW (6:58 AM).
  • Route 132 – LRE:  No Snow Route
  • Route 133 - THS & BMS: No service into DELPHI HILLS.  The bus stops first at Waddell Creek Rd SW & 105th Ave SW (6:55 AM – 6:58 AM) and later at the fire station on Littlerock Rd SW at 7:07 AM.  No service on MARKSMAN ST SW, BORDEAUX RD SW, MIMA RD SW or the EVERGREEN SPORTSMAN'S CLUB.  The bus stops on Mima Rd at 128th Ave SW (6:45 AM and again at 7:02 AM). 
  • Route 133 - LRE:  No service on 118TH AVENUE SW.  Stops at Endicott Rd SW @ 118th Ave SW (8:08 AM).  No service on 101ST AVE SW off of Delphi Rd SW.  The bus stops at Delphi Rd SW & 103rd Ave SW (Delphi Mobile Home Park Entrance 8:15 AM – 8:22 AM).  No service into DELPHI HILLS.  The bus stops at Delphi Rd SW & 105th Ave SW (8:23 AM) and later at Waddell Creek Rd SW & 105th Ave SW (8:35 AM – 8:37 AM).  No service on MARKSMAN ST SW, BORDEAUX RD SW, MIMA RD SW or the EVERGREEN SPORTSMAN'S CLUB.  The bus stops on Mima Rd SW at 128th Ave SW (8:44 AM – 8:47 AM).
  • Route 134 – THS & BMS:  No service on LITTLEROCK RD SW (south of 133rd Ave SW), 140TH AVE SW or ERSKINE RD SW.  The bus stops at 133rd Ave SW @ Erskine Rd SW 6:32 AM and again at 6:38 AM).  No service on CASE RD SW, MAYTOWN RD SW or up SHADOWBROOK RD SW.  The bus stops at the Littlerock Elementary Bus Load Zone (6:41 AM – 6:58 AM). 
  • Route 134 – LRE:  No service on LITTLEROCK RD SW (south of 133rd Ave SW), 140TH AVE SW or ERSKINE RD SW.  The bus stops at 133rd Ave SW @ Erskine Rd SW (8:10 AM and again at 8:16 AM).  No service on CASE RD SW, MAYTOWN RD SW or up SHADOWBROOK RD SW.  The bus stops at the Littlerock Elementary Bus Load Zone (8:20 AM – 8:35 AM).
  • Route 135 - THS & BMS:  No service on 101ST AVE SW off of Delphi Rd SW.  The bus stops at Delphi Rd SW & 103rd Ave SW (Delphi Mobile Home Park Entrance 6:44 AM – 6:48 AM).  No service on 118TH AVENUE SW.  The bus stops at Endicott Rd SW @ 118th Ave SW (6:54 AM).  
  • Route 135 - LRE:  No service on 110TH AVE SW between LITTLEROCK RD SW & DELPHI RD SW. MICHAEL T. SIMMONS AREA

  • Route 201 BHHS/TMS - No service on either end of BLOMBERG ST.  The bus stops at 93rd Ave SW & Blomberg St SW (6:17 AM).  No service on JONES RD SW, 104TH AVE SW or 107TH AVE SW.  The bus stops at the Forestry Sciences Laboratory (3625 93rd Ave SW 6:19 AM – 6:40 AM).  No service on PRINE DR SW; the bus stops at Littlerock Rd SW & Prine Dr SW (7:05 AM). 
  • Route 241 – BHHS & TMS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 241 – MTS:  No service on Trosper Lakes St SW and Louise St SW. Students will be picked up at the intersection of Trosper Lakes and Trosper Rd (8:15 AM) and also at the intersection of Louise St SW and Trosper Rd SW (8:16 AM).
  • Route 242 BHHS & TMS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 242 – MTS:  No service on either end of BLOMBERG ST SW.  The bus stops at 93rd Ave SW & Blomberg St SW (7:38 AM).  No service on JONES RD SW, 104TH AVE SW or 107TH AVE SW.  The bus stops at the Forestry Sciences Laboratory (3625 93rd Ave SW 7:39 AM – 7:56 AM). 
  • Route 243 – BHHS & TMS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 243 – MTS:  No service on LAZY, LIVELY OR VACATION.  The bus stops at 70th Ave SW & Lazy St SW (7:51 AM).
  • Route 244 – BHHS & TMS:  No service on Vista Loop SW. The bus will stop on Crosby St SW at Intercity Transit stop just south of Somerset Hill Dr SW (7:04 AM).
  •  Route 244 – MTS:   No Snow Route

PETER G. SCHMIDT AREA

  • Route 111 – THS & BMS:  No service at 79TH AVE SE, BELMONTE DR SE or 80TH AVE SE. The bus will stop at 79th Ave SE & Shadybrook Ln SE (7:03 AM – 7:09 AM).  
  • Route 111 – PGS:  No service at 79TH AVE SE, BELMONTE DR SE or 80TH AVE SE. The bus will stop at 79th Ave SE & Shadybrook Ln SE (7:58 AM – 8:08 AM). No service at ARAB DR SE. The bus will stop at Trails End Drive SE and Arab Drive SE (8:10 AM – 8:15 AM).
  • Route 112 – THS & BMS:  No service at ARAB DR SE. The bus will stop at Trails End Drive SE and Arab Drive SE (7:05 AM – 7:09 AM).
  • Route 112 – PGS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 113 – THS & BMS:  No service to SILVER RIDGE DR SE. The bus will stop at Dennis St SE and Elm St SE (7:06 AM).
  • Route 113 – PGS:  No service to SILVER RIDGE DR SE. The bus will stop at Dennis St SE and Elm St SE (8:05 AM – 8:06 AM).  The bus will stop with REDS just prior to the church @ Elm St SE & X St SE to CROSS students (8:07 AM).  It will then, pull off alongside the church and wait until 8:13 AM.  No service to T St SE or White Hawk Ln SE.  Students will be picked up at Elm St SE & T ST SE (8:14 AM).  No service to V St SE or Darby Ct SE.  Students will be picked up at Elm St SE & V ST SE (8:13 AM). 
  • Route 114 – THS & BMS:  No service to Deschutes River Highlands, Munn Lake. The bus will stop just past Deschutes Cove Apartments at 7201 Henderson Blvd SE (7:08 AM – 7:14 AM).  Students at Tumwater Blvd SE & Kyodi Ct SE and 1010 Tumwater Blvd SE will be picked up by Route 111 at 7:14 AM when on snow routes.
  • Route 114 – PGS:  No service to Deschutes River Highlands, Munn Lake. The bus will stop just past Deschutes Cove Apartments at 7201 Henderson Blvd SE (8:11 AM – 8:18 AM).
  • Route 115 – THS & BMS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 115 – PGS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 116 THS & BMS:  No service to HENDERSON BLVD SE & 68TH AVE SE, 6726 HENDERSON BLVD SE, HENDERSON BLVD SE & PERCY LN SE, 65TH AVE SE & SUSAN CT SE, Deschutes River Highlands, Munn Lake, 65TH AVE SE & WRANGLER DR SE, HENDERSON BLVD SE & 68TH AVE SE or 6911 HENDERSON BLVD SE.  The bus will stop just past Deschutes Cove Apartments at 7201 Henderson Blvd SE (7:02 AM – 7:11 AM).
  • Route 116 PGS:  No service to HENDERSON BLVD SE & 68TH AVE SE, HENDERSON BLVD SE & PERCY LN SE, 6306 HENDERSON BLVD SE, 65TH AVE SE & SUSAN CT SE, Deschutes River Highlands, Munn Lake, 65TH AVE SE & WRANGLER DR SE, HENDERSON BLVD SE & 68TH AVE SE or 6911 HENDERSON BLVD SE.  The bus will stop just past Deschutes Cove Apartments at 7201 Henderson Blvd SE (8:02 AM – 8:16 AM).

TUMWATER HILL AREA

  • Route 201 - No service on HARTMAN ST SE; the bus stops at Cleveland Ave SE & Brech St SE.
  • Route 261 – BHHS & TMS: No service on JOPPA, LAMBSKIN or CHARTER LN SW. Students will be picked up at 50th Ave SW and Joppa St SW (6:40 – 6:43 AM). No service on SAPP RD SW (west of Bush Mountain).  The bus will stop at 4402 BLACK LAKE BELMORE RD SW at the Fire department (6:49 AM – 6:54 AM).  No service on BUSH MOUNTAIN RD SW.  Route 263 will pick up Bush Mountain students and Klahowya Ln SW students at Sapp Rd SW & Klahowya Ln SW (6:50 AM).  No service at 2233 SAPP RD SW.  Route 263 will pick up 2233 Sapp Rd students at Antsen St SW & 30th Ave SW (6:47 AM – 6:49 AM).  No service at CROSBY BLVD SW & VIEWPOINT CT SW or CROSBY BLVD SW & VISTA LOOP SW.  The bus will stop at Crosby Blvd SW & Summit Ct SW (7:06 AM).
  • Route 261 – THE: No service on JOPPA, LAMBSKIN or CHARTER LN SW. Students will be picked up at 50th Ave SW and Joppa St SW. No service on SAPP RD SW (west of Bush Mountain).  The bus will stop at 4402 BLACK LAKE BELMORE RD SW at the Fire department (7:58 AM – 8:00 AM).  No service on BUSH MOUNTAIN RD SW or SIMMONS MILL CT SW.  The bus will stop at Firland St SW & 28th Ave SW (8:14 AM – 8:16 AM). No service on WOODLAND DR SW, DELLROSE RD SW or BROOKSIDE RD SW. The bus will stop at Crosby Blvd SW & Dellrose Rd SW (8:23 AM) and at Crosby Blvd SW & Brookside Rd SW (8:24 AM).
  • Route 262 – BHHS & TMS: No service on SOMMERSET HILL.  The bus will stop on Crosby St SW at Intercity Transit stop just South of Somerset Hill Dr (7:00 AM).  No service on Barnes Blvd SW at Breckenridge Apartments or at Ridgeview Loop SW & Starlight Ln SW.  The bus will stop at BARNES BLVD SW & the top end of RIDGEVIEW LOOP SW SW (7:02 AM).  No service at Blue Sky Dr SW & Vista Verde Ln SW.  The bus will stop at Barnes Blvd SW & Blue Sky Dr SW (7:03 AM).  No Service on Vista Loop SW at either end of Dahlia Ln.  The bus will stop at the bottom end of Barnes Blvd SW (where it meets S 7th Ave SW) & Vista Loop SW (7:04 AM).
  • Route 262 – THE: No service at S 4TH AVE SW & C ST SW.  The bus will stop at S 3rd Ave SW & C St SW (8:09 AM). 
  • Route 263 – BHHS & TMS: No Service on CASSIE DR SW or CHAPPAREL DR SW.  The bus stops at Antsen St SW & 38th Ave SW (6:47 AM – 6:49 AM).  No Stops on MONTEREY ST SW.  The bus picks up @ Mottman Rd SW & Monterey St SW (6:57 AM).  No service on 12th Ave SW.  The bus stops at Irving St SW & 12th Ave SW (7:00 AM).
  • Route 263 – THE: No Service on CASSIE DR SW or CHAPPAREL DR SW.  The bus stops at Antsen St SW & 38th Ave SW (8:10 – 8:14 AM).   No service on SOMMERSET HILL.  The bus will stop on Crosby St SW at the Intercity Transit stop just South of Somerset Hill Dr (8:32 AM).  No service on 12th Ave SW.  The bus stops at Irving St SW & 12th Ave SW (8:30 AM).
  • Route 264 – BHHS & TMS:  No Snow Route
  • Route 264 – THE:  No Snow Route
