Replacement Safety, Technology & Capital Improvements Levy Election
February 10, 2026
Thank you for your interest in learning more about the upcoming Replacement Safety, Technology, and Capital Improvements Levy.
This measure is not a new tax. This measure would allow the district to collect up to $49.1 million in funding over six years to support:
- School security and student safety, including securing digital protections for student data, installing security cameras, renovating facilities, and improving pick-up/drop-off areas
- Future-focused technology, including cutting-edge software and learning opportunities for artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy, and digital collaboration
- Capital projects, including major repairs and renovations on school and community spaces like bathrooms, lunchrooms, play areas, and parking lots.

What is the estimated tax impact by year?
-
$0.53 per $1,000 of assessed value for the year of 2027 (collecting approx. $5.9M)
-
$0.53 per $1,000 of assessed value for the year of 2028 (collecting approx. $6.2M)
- $0.70 per $1,000 of assessed value for the year of 2029 (collecting approx. $8.5M)
- $0.72 per $1,000 of assessed value for the year of 2030 (collecting approx. $9.0M)
- $0.73 per $1,000 of assessed value for the year of 2031 (collecting approx. $9.5M)
- $0.74 per $1,000 of assessed value for the year of 2032 (collecting approx. $10.0M)
This Replacement Safety, Technology & Capital Improvements Levy would replace the existing approximately $0.55/$1,000 that is currently being collected for the existing Levy that was previously approved by voters. The reason the per $1,000 of assessed values increases over time is due to the bond debt that will be decreasing over time. The intent is that the combined tax rate for district bonds, Educational Programs & Operations levy, and Safety, Technology & Capital Improvements levy will remain stable over the next six years.
