• Services

    Children with disabilities (birth to age 21) have a wide-range of programs available based on their particular need. Special education services are delivered in a continuum of placements from regular classroom to home-based.

    Services are available at all schools, including but not limited to:

        * Speech and language therapy;
        * Psychological assessment;
        * Occupational therapy;
        * Physical therapy
        * Vision and hearing impaired service;
        * Home-bound (home-hospital) instruction.

    Programs may be on a Tumwater School District site or at another education location. Every student who receives special education must have an Individual Education Program (IEP) developed by parents, teachers, and other professionals.
