I am entering my fifth year teaching at Tumwater High School and will continue to encourage young individuals to push themselves academically and socially. One of the best parts of teaching is building strong teacher/student relationships to help all students succeed in life. As a social studies teacher, we will be learning how different societies act and work together, as well as learning how to develop our own perspectives and back them up using factual information. The World History teachers at THS have worked hard to create invigorating lessons and units to inspire the best creativity while complying with state standards.

I am also a leader of an educational tour group in which THS students travel. It is hard to explain to students the perspectives of the world by having them look it up online. Taking tour groups to far countries allows them to have experiences that go beyond the traditional high school scene. These experiences will benefit them in more ways than they can imagine from simply signing up. I am proud to have visited many countries and plan on continuing to do so with THS students. If you or your son/daughter are interested in traveling on such a tour, please contact me for the next available trip to join. You can also find more information on the class website above, which has links to the various tours available at this time.
Brandenburg Gate in Berlin; the site of many of histories most iconic moments.

Please reference Google Classroom for assignments/daily work; keep in mind you will need a Tumwater Account to log in. Parents can ask their son/daughter to log in if you want to see progress or future assignments.
