Max wants a collection just like his brothers have. His brothers will not share their collections so Max decides to start a collection of his own. He decides to make a collection of words. His brothers make fun of him but he perseveres and creates a great collection of words that includes small words, big words, and words that make him feel good. He collects so many words that he finally has enough to make a story. His brothers become interested and want to help with Max's story. This story is a great springboard for story writing.
