    I graduated from Washington State University in 2002 with a degree in Communications, Public Relations. I worked in the Admissions office at Saint Martin's University for a few years while also working on obtaining my Master's in Education degree and Guidance and Counseling certification. Before coming to THS, I worked as a Counselor at Centralia Middle School and Tumwater Middle school.

    I am very passionate about working with students and feel that these years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skill necessary for them to become healthy, competent and confident learners. I believe that my professional experience, my academic preparation, my passion for education, and my heartfelt desire to help children will create an environment in which all students will feel they can achieve anything they set out to do. My goal every day is to make a positive impact. I am excited for the opportunity to make that impact at Tumwater High School.

    Hello and Buongiorno!  I am originally from Pennsylvania and grew up around all things related to the Pittsburgh Steelers in an Italian-American home.  I have been in the Northwest for 28 years, so I do call this area home and now also love the Seattle Sounders FC.  I graduated from West Virginia University in 1993 with a degree in Journalism/Psychology.  I was in Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) during my college years and was active duty after I graduated from college.  I served in Turkey and here at McChord Air Force Base.  After that, I worked at the Olympia Police Department and Yelm Middle School.  I obtained my Master in Education degree and School Counseling Certification from Saint Martin's University. 

     

    I have two boys, one at Tumwater HS and one at the University of Oregon. We like to travel around the NW and all over with our smooth collies.

     

    I am very passionate about working with students and getting to know their "stories", goals, dreams, and hearing what makes them happy.  I am excited to work with Tumwater High School students, staff and families.  I look forward to meeting you, so come on by!

    Welcome!

    I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1996 with a degree in English, and my teaching certification.  I taught English at THS from 1996-2000 and was the Yearbook Advisor for 2 of those years.  In 2000 I was hired as a School Counselor at THS, and worked full time until 2004 when we had our first child.  I have been working part time at THS since then, and am grateful for my place in the T-Bird family.

    I started at SPSCC and then transferred to Pacific Lutheran University where I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Work. After eight years of working in college admission I headed back to college and received my Masters of Education in School Counseling from City University. During the few moments my three kids are not keeping me totally busy, you can often find me tapping my feet to Irish music, daydreaming about the time I rode the Hogwarts Express (true story), or trying to master the ultimate chocolate chip cookie (if you have the recipe let me know). Please stop by my office whenever to say hi, challenge me to an Irish jig-off, or share your family's secret chocolate chip cookie recipe!

    Hi there!!  I graduated from Whitworth University in 2008 with a degree in Communications and Business and as I was walking across the stage at graduation I realized “I want to be a School Counselor when I grow up”!  After some time working at IKEA (still one of my favorite jobs!) and teaching English in South Korea for a year (best experience of my life) I graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland with my degree in School Counseling in 2014.  I started my Counseling career at a Middle School in Federal Way, before landing my dream job at THS in 2018.  I have loved being a TBird and am so grateful to work in such an amazing school.  When I’m not at THS I like to spend time outside with my little family, give my most precious Golden Retriever dog kisses and cuddles, and daydream about all the fun places I want to travel to.  Please stop by my office if you need anything (or even if you don’t need anything but you want to just talk about dogs, I’m here for that too!).
