It's Track Season At Tumwater Middle School!Head Coach: norm.hjelm <email@example.com>Assistant Coaches: Robert Kondrat, Paul Kramer, Bob NicholsTumwater Midle School offers No-Cut Co-ed Track & Field for 7th and 8th Grades. The following events are open to 7th and 8th Grade Student Athletes (All students must compete in at least one field event):Running:
- 1600 Meters
- 100 Meter Hurdles (HS Girls spacing of hurdles; Height—8th boys 2nd notch; all others, 1st notch)
- 100 Meters
- 400 Meters
- 4 x 100 Meter Relay
- 800 Meters
- 800 Meter Medley Relay (100 M, 100 M, 200 M, 400 M)
- 200 Meters
- 4 x 400 Meter Relay
All players must be cleared by ASB Athletic Secretary Sarah Nelson (709-7501) prior to practicing.Students should have athletic shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt for practice; students should also bring a sweatshirt or light jacket, water bottle, and a bag to keep items secured. Coaches may make recommendations for other equipment.Co-Ed Track Season Starts on Monday, April 13th. Unless otherwise notified, practices will be 2:30 - 4:30 daily. There will be Friday practices on April 17th and 24th from 2:30-4:30pm. Then, practices will be Mondays through Thursdays for the remainder of the season. No PM transportation is offered for any TMS sports so parents/guardians are expected to pick up their student athletes promptly at 4:30 pm (or otherwise as indicated) for practices and in the evenings for bus pickup after travel games (times vary between 7-8 pm).Meets will start at 4:00 pm and home meets are hosted at Black Hills High School.
