Continuous Student Learning in a Caring, Engaging Environment

Welcome

  • Tumwater School District provides a safe, caring, and supportive learning environment for students.  Our academic focus is based on four questions:  What do we want each student to learn?  How will we know if each student is learning it?  How will we respond when a student is experiencing difficulty?  How will we respond if the student already knows it?

  • Beauty and the Beast

Black Hills High School Musical Theatre presents Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Filled with all the wonderful songs from the original movie, this “tale as old as time” will enchant children young and old. For more information on dates and time click on headline.

  • Guys and Dolls - THS Winter Musical

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler, Nathan Detroit, tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, as a result. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.
