The Automotive Service Technology (AST) program is an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation certificated training facility and has Lab Science equivlancy credit. The AST program offers beginning and advanced course work. The MLR level certified program focuses on four of the eight ASE areas: Manual Transmissions and Axles, Brakes, Electrical, and Engine Mechanical (2019-2020). In the subsequent year the other four ASE areas will be covered: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Steering and Suspension, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Engine Performance and Driveability (2020-2021). Course work is taught by Bryan Christensen, an ASE Certified Master Technician with thirty-eight years of experience in the automotive service and repair trade. The program will provide the guidelines and skills necessary to continue on with post-secondary school/training: Technical College and/or Factory Training.
College credits may be available through the Tech Prep program
