  • Attention 5th Grade Parents!!!!

    WE NEED YOUR HELP!! The 5th Grade Promotion and Luncheon is coming up, Friday June 14th from 11-1:30! We are so excited and proud to be sending off our 5th graders to the next phase of their educational journey. We are asking for 5th grade parents to sign up to bring an item (or two, or three) from the list of things needed to make the luncheon a success. It's so easy!!   • MTS Talent Show

    We are pleased to announce that Michael T. Simmons will be holding our 1st annual TALENT SHOW!! Auditions will be held May 6th- May 31st. You must have a completed audition form with a parent signature in order to sign up. You can pick up a form in the front office or by clicking here. The talent show will be on Friday, June 21st

  • Sport Extravaganza!!

    On Friday, May 31 from 5:30-7:30 the MTS PTO proudly invites you to our first annual Sports Extravaganza! Join us for a night of outdoor sports and games that's fun for the whole family! Plus Wicked Pies will be on site for meal purchases! See you there!

  • Recorder Karate

    Our fantastic 3rd and 4th grade students have been practicing so hard all year and are finally ready to show off their amazing skills! We invite all parents and family members to come and enjoy Recorder Karate. Concerts will be held June 3-June 19 in the music room.   • No More ACT Fridays

    Our school district has applied for a four day waiver from OSPI. In order to make up lost instructional minutes we will no longer have teacher collaboration time on Friday afternoons. We will release on Fridays at 3:10. Our last day of school is now scheduled for Monday June 24th and will be a half day.

    It�s time to Walk N Roll! Intercity Transit�s Walk N Roll program invites all students and families to join Michael T. in learning how to walk to school safely. Meet at 8:10 at the park located on G Street and Wrigley. Look for Principal Hedin and Tumwater Police! Michael T. is Walking N Rolling to school all year long!     Each year the PTO needs our school families and their families to re-register their Fred Meyer Rewards cards. This is a valuable community resource that aids the PTO in providing funding for various school projects and student activities. You even get to keep all your own rebates!!!

    Due to the delayed first day of school, Tumwater School District has altered some of our break schedules to accommodate the need to make up school days. Please note the following: Winter Break: Friday, Dec. 21st through Tuesday, Jan. 1st (shortened by 2 days) Mid�Winter Break: Monday, Feb. 18th (shortened by 1 day) Last Day of School (pending snow days): Friday, June 21st

    Students and other members of the public can anonymously report or share information of a threat or potential threat to student safety. Callers will be able to leave a voice message at (360) 709-7998. Messages are monitored by the administrative office during regular business hours. Please note this is not an emergency response line. If you are reporting an emergency situation, please call 911. When leaving your tip, please leave as much detail as possible so that your concern can be thoroughly investigated. All tips will be considered seriously. An online platform for tips will be added to our webpage soon.
