Biography
Mrs. Pearson grew up in suburban Chicago, IL and, after bugging her mom for a year, began violin lessons at age 7. She has a Bachelor of Music from University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Music from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York-Potsdam, both with an emphasis in violin performance. Mrs. Pearson has lived in the Pacific Northwest since 2003. From 2004-2013, she was a private violin and viola instructor at Yenney Music in Olympia. In June 2013, she attended St. Martin’s University and obtained her teacher certification in June 2014. Mrs. Pearson plays in a variety of local ensembles and is a violinist/violist (but not both at the same time) with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra. In her spare time, Mrs. Pearson enjoys reading, traveling, going to concerts and sporting events, and spending time with her family.
