Attention all students interested or thinking about playing football next year. There will be a meeting Friday May 6th during PACK in Coach Stevens’ room 104. Black Hills High School Theatre presents our annual spring one-act comedies. This year we are presenting: It’s Not You, It’s Me, directed by Luke Davis; The Tiest, written and directed by Nolan Harris; and Controlling Interest, directed by Guita Taheri. This year, we are also including a short jazz dance performance by Gabby Connors. Shows are May 5 & 6, and May 12 and 13th, all at 7 p.m. in the Black Hills PAC. You are invited to attend an information night on Monday, May 9th from 6-7pm at the Tumwater School District office to learn more about the secondary health curriculum for grades 7-12. Information about potential new curriculum for middle school health will be presented and we are interested in your feedback. We will also have information about HIV/AIDS instruction for students in grades 7-12. GRuB is a grassroots non-profit organization based in West Olympia. GRuB’s mission is to inspire positive personal and community change by bringing people together around food and agriculture, to partner with youth and people with low-incomes to create empowering individual & community food solutions, and to offer tools & trainings to help build a just & sustainable food system. The Tumwater School District is starting a new GRuB-like youth farm program in partnership with the City of Tumwater and GRuB. Through this program, Tumwater high school students will have an opportunity to earn school credit, an educational stipend award, and gain valuable skills through farming the land to grow produce for district schools.
