When we first saw the gingerbread houses in pod A we said, “WOW! This is awesome!” We interviewed Mrs. Birindelli and Miss Dunkin to find out more and what they had to say.
The gingerbread village was made out of paper. They also hung lights, which was difficult for the teachers but they figured it out.
The first and second graders painted candy canes, reindeer, some candy, and frosting for the houses. There’s even Santa’s sleigh flying over the moon! Oh! They also decorated real gingerbread cookies to take home.
The teachers thought the village was cute and so did the kids, but don’t go and try to eat it!

1stGraders Make Homes for
Gingerbread Men
Mrs. McCloud’s students made gingerbread houses. The houses’ base is a milk carton. A hot glue gun stuck the graham crackers to the carton. Frosting holds on the decorations. It is a decoration in it’s self. Most of the houses are a gingerbread man or two. Frosting is used for the gutters. Some even have a door painted with frosting. One question remains! What will the 1stgrade class make next?
