ACT/EARLY RELEASE SCHEDULE
Academic Collaboration Time or ACT days were first introduced in the district in 2008-09 to provide teachers with time to meet with grade level and subject area peers to work on curriculum, data review and more. Students are released 75 minutes every Friday, for ACT.
Click here for early release times for each school. The only exceptions to the new schedule are the first week of school and the last week of school. The first Friday will be a full day. The last day of school will be a half day.
Half Day Kindergarten Schedule - A schedule has been created for half-day kindergarten students who will attend on alternating Fridays. On the Fridays they attend, they will go to school in the morning, eat lunch at school, then be released at the Friday early release time for their school. Click here for complete schedule. We annually evaluate the effectiveness of this use of time based on student performance and staff perceptions. As well, every two years we will ask for parents to provide feedback via survey.
