Professional Biography
My professional training began at Western Washington State University and then I graduated from Seattle University.
I started my teaching career in Tenino where I had a wonderful experience and developed many lifelong friends. It still is a thrill to see former students and parents to catch up on what my "kids" are doing. Third grade was a perfect fit for my first year of teaching. I loved my children, school, colleagues and continued to work there until my son was born. Then three little girls followed. My joy at this point was staying home with my kids. But after the kids got older the passion of teaching called me back into the profession. My children all went through Peter G. so it was natural for me to want to be a part of the Peter G. family. I started by substituting and then taught third grade, second grade and now am delighted to be in first grade with an amazing team!
On a personal note, I have four children who attended Peter G. They are now young adults who have all graduated from college and are very successful. Thank you Peter. G. for a great foundation! My husband and I met while teaching in Tenino. Paul is the guy we call on whenever first grade needs some help of any kind. Our family is complete with two son in laws and a beagle named Toby.
Thank you for sharing your children with me. It is my pleasure to see them each day and watch them grow!
