Welcome to my class! Let me begin by telling you a little about myself. I attended University of Washington and graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education with an endorsment in Science. I went on to recieve my Masters in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I stayed home with my own three children for 14 years before going back to the classroom. I feel very lucky to have had that opportunity with my children.
I taught in the North Thurston School District in their TAG (Talented and Gifted) program and Kindergarten for four years before moving to the Tumwater School District. I have been teaching first grade at Michael T. Simmons since 2007. I love teaching first graders! Everything is so new and exciting as they grow and discover through this critical learning year.
