  • Health Curriculum

    Hello TSD Families: You are invited to attend an information night on Monday, May 9th from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Tumwater School District Office to learn about the Secondary Health Curriculum for grades 7 - 12. Information about potential new curriculum for Middle School Health will be presented and we are interested in your feedback. We will also have information about HIV/AIDS instruction for students in grades 7 - 12.   • Track Season Begins Monday, April 18th! Sign-up today and help us defend our District Championship!

  • 2016 Student Travel Survey

    The Washington State Departments of Health and Transportation are conducting a short telephone survey of parents from our school. The survey asks how students travel to and from school. The information will be used to improve student transportation. The survey is voluntary. If you do not want to be called, contact the Department of Health at 1-844-858-7647 prior to May 9, 2016. Please leave the name of your child's school and phone number so they can remove your phone number from the contact list. Please note that the Department of Health does not have your name so they cannot remove you from the contact list unless you leave your phone number and school. Please see the attached 'Frequently Asked Questions' about the Student Travel Survey.

  • 2016 End of Year Events Qualifications

    The end of the year events at Tumwater Middle School are approaching. Students have been working all year long to earn the privilege of attending these events. A letter has been sent to all parents with the guidelines for students to attend. Click on the heading to see the letter that was sent home and all the important details!

  • English/Language Arts Curriculum

    This year, a district committee comprised of English and Special Education teachers in grades 6 - 12 has been reviewing new options for our English/Language Arts curriculum and they will select a new curriculum for grades 9 - 12 starting in the 2016-2017 school year. We will select a new ELA curriculum for grades 6 - 8 next year for use starting in the 2017 - 2018 school year. We invite you to preview the top three curriculum options (SpringBoard, My Perspectives, and Collections) and provide feedback at a parent meeting on April 20th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the Tumwater District Office at 621 Linwood Ave. SW. Samples of each curriculum will also be on display in the secondary school libraries beginning after Spring Break and continuing for a few week.   • Freshman Registration

    Tuesday March 29th the High School Counselors will be here at TMS to assist our 8th graders in registering for high school. Last week students were given the BHHS Course Catalog to look at with their parents. Students were asked to make selections which they will then use to schedule their courses for the fall. Get a good nights sleep, eat a good breakfast and come to school ready for a busy and important day!

  • Attention In-Coming Freshman Pre-AP Students

    Black Hills High School offers incoming freshman and returning sophomore students the opportunity to participate in College Board Pre-AP English courses. The Pre-AP English Program challenges students on a more disciplined, structured, rigorous academic level aligned with AP English, while introducing them to and preparing them for future college education. If this sounds like a class you would like to take, please download the FAQ for more information. All 9th grade students will be registered for regular 9th English next year. To learn more about 9th Pre-AP English and print a copy of the Letter of Intent, click on the heading.

    You're invited to the BHHS Freshman Fair 8th Grade Parent and Student Night on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Learn about class offerings, talk to teachers and counselors, and take a tour of the school. Questions call 360-709-7800. See you there!

  • Parking Lot Safety

    In the TMS parking lot, please remember to follow the flow of traffic, watch for pedestrians; students and staff arrive early and stay late, avoid parking in the crosswalks and check blind spots carefully. Thank you for driving safely!

  • TMS Athletics: Information about New Leauge

    Starting with the 2015-16 school-year, both Tumwater School District Middle Schools will be competing in a new sports league. Prior to this year, TMS and BMS competed in the Capital Sports League with Jefferson, Marshall, Reeves, Washington, and Griffin. Beginning this school year, both middle schools will be competing in the Tri-County Sports League. The schools in this new league include Chehalis, Centralia, Montesano, Elma, Hoquiam, and Miller (Aberdeen). For more information, click here to read an update letter.

  • New Bus Routes Tool

    The new Bus Route tool is available and makes finding your child's bus route easy and just a click away! Click on the new "Bus Route" icon on the gray bar below the scrolling pictures at the top of this page, enter your address, school and your child's grade level; select search and you will see the bus stop, pick up and arrival times for before and after school.

  • District Transfer Reminders

    If your student attends a Tumwater School District School on an Inter-district or Inter-zone Transfer, it is time to turn your forms in for next year. Pick up a form at the District Office or your school and return it to Tami Collins at the District Office for consideration. Remember you must re-apply each year you attend a non-resident school. Call 360-709-7000 if you have any questions.

  • Family/Student Access

    Family Access is an easy way to keep track of your student's school information! From assignments and attendance to lunch accounts, your pre-assigned log-in and passwords takes you directly into the Family Access & Gradebook program and helps you stay connected. If you have not already started using this great tool, please contact Sally Riddle at 709-7503 for your log-in and password information so you can start using this program today! Talk to your student about their 'Student Access' program. They have the same ability to check on assignments and keep track of due-dates. This feature will be closed over the summer but available again after school starts up again in the fall.
